Education Fair

Every year, the La Raza Youth Leadership Conference provides more than 1,000 youth from around the state with the chance to explore their cultural, educational, and career aspirations. This year’s conference is proud to announce the return of the Educational Opportunities Fair. The fair will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2009 at the Auraria Campus in the P.E./Event Center. It will include a “shopping session” of Colleges/Universities and other educational or community related services available to students between ages 14-18. We invite your institution or organization to participate in the Educational Opportunities Fair as an exhibitor in the student shopping sessions.

Exhibitors will be provided with a table, free parking, conference t-shirt, and a breakfast for a registration cost of $50 for non-profit organizations and $100 for in-state colleges/universities and $200 for out-of-state colleges and universities. Your institution/organization will also receive recognition of their participation in the conference program and on our website. All proceeds of the Educational Opportunities Fair will go to the La Raza Youth Leadership Program, a series of sessions to build more youth leaders within our community. All applications received after Friday April 10th, 2009 will be charged a flat fee of $150 and out of state schools $250.

To register, please complete the enclosed registration form with the required payment, and send them to Melissa Quinteros at the Community College of Denver (please refer to the enclosed registration form for address and fax number) by Friday, April 10th, 2009. Please include any additional representatives that will be attending the fair on the registration form so that they may receive parking validation and a t-shirt. If possible, send a bilingual representative as 50% of the conference participants speak Spanish in their home.
