The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) is pleased to announce the 2011-2012 La Raza Youth Leadership Award for graduating high school seniors.  Six scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each shall be awarded. The award will be provided for two consecutive semesters in the amount of $500.00 per semester. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate academic merit and dedication to the Hispanic/Latino commu-nity and participation in the LA RAZA Youth Leadership Program. Financial need is not a criterion for this award, however, applicants are encouraged to apply for financial aid by completing a 2011-2012 FAFSA form. Students must meet the University of Colorado Denver admission criteria.
