Leadership Program History
The La Raza Youth Leadership Program (Program) is a component of the La Raza Youth Leadership Institute (Institute). The Institute has been organizing the La Raza Youth Leadership Conference (Conference) since 1991. Going into its 18th year and attracting over 1,500 youth (grades 6-12) the Conference is the largest and most respected conference for Latino youth in the state of Colorado. The Program was established in 2004 to provide concentrated leadership building opportunities for a small group of motivated Latino high school students.
Members of the La Raza Youth Leadership program added a key component to youth participation at the Eighth Annual César Chávez Celabration.
