The La Raza Youth Leadership Conference has become one of the largest and most popular youth leadership conferences in the state. The event is made possible by a volunteer board, committees and 150 volunteers the day of the event. We are seeking volunteers to assist the day of the 22nd Annual La Raza Youth Leadership Conference on April 27, 2013 from 7:30am to 4pm. Volunteers are needed for the following areas:

  • Conference Registration (Training Friday, April 26m 2013 at the Auraria Campus)
  • Workshop Selection
  • Workshop Monitors
  • T-shirt Distribution
  • Building Guides
  • Accessibility Guides for Students with Disabilities
  • ASL Interpreters
  • Security (Training Friday, April 26m 2013 at the Auraria Campus)

The conference began in 1991 as a male youth conference. Today, the conference welcomes both female and male students. It has grown steadily over the years recruiting youth from throughout Colorado. This year’s 22nd Annual conference will be hosted at the Auraria Campus, a tri-institutional campus located in downtown Denver. The 2012 conference welcomed approximately 1,600 participants.
