The La Raza Youth Leadership Institute Board of Directors would like to thank the Liaisons and organizations that participated in the 2013 conference. Through your involvement, our conference continues to be a success. We understand Liaisons work very hard in assisting students to participate in this conference and look forward to seeing you in April. We hope that we can continue our collaboration and enhance the development of our Raza youth. The conference has been able to provide thousands of Chicano/a, Latino/a, Mexicano/a students a one-day conference filled with workshops on Leadership, Careers, Self-Esteem, and Cultural Awareness.

Over the past 21 years, we have learned of the many outstanding youth in our community and schools. Students are encouraged to participate in the following conference recognition events:
Youth Recognition Awards:
– Recognizes youth for scholastic achievement and community service.
– Awards available to students in 6th-12th grades
– Youth Award Recipients will receive a cash award presented the day of the conference and will be recognized in the Conference program.
– The application deadline is Friday, March 1, 2013. The application will be available in February at the larazayouth.org website under the Youth Award scholarship link.
